Um Passeio no Parque

Oi pessoal, aqui é a Virginia.
O verão finalmente chegou em Nova Iorque, então eu decidi fazer um vídeo ao ar livre. Hoje, eu vou falar sobre vocabulário relacionado a parques e eu vou levar você para um passeio comigo no meu parque favorito. Vamos lá?
Eu estou caminhando agora no Prospect Park, que é o meu parque favorito aqui no Brooklyn. Eu venho caminhar aqui quase todos os dias com o meu cachorrinho, Wilson. Este é o Wilson.
Uma das coisas que o Wilson mais gosta de fazer é caminhar na grama. Olha que delícia!
Eu simplesmente adoro o cheiro de grama cortada.
Este parque também tem muitas árvores. Olha que linda esta árvore aqui atrás de mim.
Uma atividade muito comum em parques é piquenique. Aqui atrás de mim tem um grupo de pessoas fazendo um piquenique.
Neste parque, nós também temos muitos pássaros ou passarinhos.
Acho que é difícil de ver, mas tem vários pássaros aqui atrás de mim, comendo algo na grama.
Aqui atrás de mim tem um lago, e eles fizeram uma praia de cachorro na beira do lago. Olha que legal. Tem bolinhas ali atrás e os cachorros podem entrar e nadar. O Wilson não gosta muito de água, então ele fica só olhando.
E aqui no lago, também tem algumas tartaruguinhas. Eu vou ver se eu consigo filmar pra vocês.
Olha, ali tem uma tartaruga. Olha que bonitinha. Ah, está começando a chover aqui no parque.
Neste parque também tem muitos esquilos e chipmunks. Será que a gente consegue ver um?
Eu acabei de descobrir que eu não sei como dizer “chipmunk” em português.
Eu acho que “squirrel” e “chipmunk” são chamados de “esquilo” em português. Um nome só, esquilo.
Ali tem um esquilo.
Outra coisa que eu adoro fazer aqui no parque é sentar em um banco, isto são bancos, e ficar relaxando e curtindo a natureza. O Wilson também gosta.
Este parque também tem uma ciclovia e uma passarela para as pessoas caminharem, então tem sempre muita gente aqui andando de bicicleta, caminhando, correndo. É muito legal.
Encontramos um “chipmunk”. Olha que bonitinho!

A Walk in the Park

Hi everyone, Virginia here.
Summer has finally arrived in New York, so I decided to make a video outdoors. Today, I’m going to talk about vocabulary related to parks and I’m going to take you for a walk with me in my favorite park. Let’s go?
I’m walking now in Prospect Park, which is my favorite park here in Brooklyn. I come here for a walk almost every day with my little dog, Wilson. This is Wilson.
One of the things that Wilson most enjoys doing is walking on the grass. Look how nice!
I simply love the smell of freshly-cut grass.
This park also has many trees. Look how beautiful this tree is, right behind me.
A very common activity in parks is picnic. Right behind me there is a group of people having a picnic.
In this park, there are also many birds or little birds.
I think it’s hard to see, but there are many birds right behind me, eating something on the grass.
Right behind me there is a lake, and a dog beach was made by the lakeshore. Look how nice it is. There are balls over there in the back and the dogs can come in and swim. Wilson doesn’t like water very much, so he’s just looking.
And in the lake, there are a few little turtles too. I’ll see if I can film it for you.
Look, there’s a turtle. Look how cute. Oh, it’s starting to rain here in the park.
In this park there are also many squirrels and chipmunks. Will we be able spot one?
I just realized that I don’t know how to say “chipmunk” in Portuguese.
I think both “squirrel” and “chipmunk” are called “squirrel” in Portuguese. One name only, squirrel.
There’s a squirrel over there.
Another thing I love doing here in the park is sitting on a bench, these are benches, just relaxing and enjoying nature. Wilson likes it, too.
This park also has a bike lane and a path for people to walk, so there are always a lot of people here cycling, walking, running. It’s very cool.
We found a “chipmunk”. Look how cute!
